This place has beautiful flowers every year the $$ is a lil more than others but they do have free fertilizer for you to take your own containers like milk jugs or whatever and fill up to fertilizer your flowers or veggys or whatever you want

Had a great experience here other than buying way too many plants for my vegetable garden. That's a personal problem more than anything though. I would've spent a lot more time looking around if it weren't for my restless toddler. There's a lot of great options if you're a vegetable gardener. I can't say much for the floral options because I only had the time glance. What I did see was really cool though. I had a great experience with the woman checking us out. I wish I could remember her name but I do remember she has purple hair. She was very kind, personable, and professional. She made me feel very welcomed. I will definitely be returning when I have more time to browse.

Wenke is a beautiful greenhouse with widest variety of plants that I've seen in the portage area but it's just gotten too expensive. $52 for a peonie plant that I ended up getting at home depot for $20. Basic wooden, unstained planter boxes going for $50. 3 pint sizes of ornamental grass would have cost me $72. I just can't afford their prices so I won't be shopping there anymore.

I enjoy going to this greenhouse every year. Wenke has a large selection of flowers/plants with many colors. Some greenhouses have a large selection but only one or two colors of that specific item so Wenke never disappoints. It is a large greenhouse so it doesn't feels cramped. I would recommend shopping no later than early May if you want to view the full inventory. There are always multiple fans going to help stay cool. I love how there are a couple water coolers and free popcorn. Such a nice addition and everyone seems so friendly. Plenty of parking and the outside landscape is always so beautiful.

As a lifelong resident of this region, yesterday happened to be my very first time visiting Wenke Greenhouses. It was an unplanned trip, as I was just using their parking lot to get off of Sprinkle Rd., and make a phone call. But when I put my phone down and realized that I was in the parking lot of a freshly-open-for-spring greenhouse, and since I had a little extra time, I exited my work van and took a stroll through the greenhouse. Originally intending to just observe, perhaps taking some photos, I brought my coffee with me, and started in the farthest aisle over, weaving my way through each of the winding walkways with beautiful plants on either side. There were so many varieties, colors, smells, and the atmosphere was serene. When I neared the front end near the middle, I was helped by associate Andy, who took the time to pause placing plants for a few minutes, and he waxed eloquently about very pertinent gardening tips, flower facts, and time-of-planting questions that I had. He was in his element, and with a smile on his face, he patiently listened and honestly answered all of my inquiries and curiosities, explaining in a way that made sense and was practical to apply, eve
